Eric Fleming good morning! First thing in the morning (5:30am-7:00am) we use Samsara as a "second look" option when drivers have not accepted an offer in NewMile and show them as not active(see image). Once we see they are moving in Samsara we consider them as "working" and we move on to the next one. This sort of "roll call" is time sensitive and crucial to our operation. Training drivers to accept offers as soon as they arrive to their yards is an option but we cannot rely on this alone since we have to act fast to find a replacement. This is also labor extensive and takes away from Intraday tasks.

Carlos U. Diaz: Are you just looking to see if they're moving in Samsara or are you looking to see if they're actually driving to the load site?

Eric Fleming We just want to see if they are up and moving. This is why we wanted for NewMile to get this information from Samsara. The problem with this is that if they stop at a gas station for example and they turn their truck off then Samsara once again will switch them back as "not moving" and if they have not accepted the offer yet then we would have to assume the truck is still at the yard. Clear as mud?
