Feature Requests - Haulers

There needs to be a way for the Sub Fleet Owner to update a driver in a truck. There used to be a way to do that, but it also allowed the edit of the truck such as type, name etc. Editing a driver in a truck but not allow the edit of the truck. If this could be possible, there would have to be some way to determine how far that backdates. As sometimes truck owners need to change drivers late at night before that truck/driver is gets the active dispatch. If the wrong driver is in the truck, then that driver doesn't get the dispatch.

When a driver gets taken out of a truck in NewMile, that driver can no longer update any loads. For example, if I was a driver in a truck on Mon-Wed but I wasn't the one driving the truck on Thurs-Fri then I couldn't log in to my app and update any loads. Therefore, if I had any loads that were marked invalid during Wednesday night review, I could not update them. It would leave me to turn my tickets into the truck owner, and the owner update from the sub fleet owner portal.

The same way a rate in entered on a Purchase Order with an Effective Date. We need that option on other things in NewMile. Such as if a subhauler changed their company name, when we update the Org to their new name we are changing the historical data that was at one time correct. Or a truck - What if a truck is sold and replaced with the same name/number but different truck type. Or a vendor - Sometimes vendors buy out other vendors and change their name. But the historical data that was once correct should remain and be able to add an effective date to a vendor that could filter into Location names

For Sub Fleet Owners utilizing their portal on NewMile. They do not have the ability to add a photo to an End Job Report if the driver never took a photo. I can only add a photo from the validation page to the End Job Report also. Sub Fleet Owners do not have access to the Validation Page. There should be a way to add this from the Sub Fleet Owner Portal. They only option currently is to add a manual single load for an hourly job that doesn't result in any billing/paying and someone from the validation side moving this photo to the end job report.

Pretty Frequently we have customers that as for Partial loads and we have to have a ton of communication with the Drivers. Example in our Market a Full load is between 20-23 tons. We have several jobs that request only 12 tons. In the current set up the Driver has no visibility to how many tons to pick up. The only way for us to communicate is to put the notes in the order however we end up having to call the Driver to make sure that he or she read the notes. We normally do not find out that we over shipped the order until it is delivered. We need a better way to handle this and a better way to know instantly that a mistake was made before it arrives at the customer's job. Best Case is an easy way to communicate with the driver and a confirmation that they know it's a partial load. Then some sort of notification when they enter the quantity at pick up. like Oops we just noticed that the order is for only 12 tons and you have picked up 21.23 tons. Please reach out to your dispatcher before going further... World class is that there would be an emergency Message also sent to dispatch. These loads are not Frequent and are not needle movers to our P &L however are very important to the crew trying to finish the last load on a sports field. We are spending way too much time on these and its something that is never going to go away.

Prompting to suggest similar existing PO's, Orders, or materials to reduce duplication of existing Newmile information. This will save time by avoiding the creation of the duplicate and the time to deal with the duplicate

Use of an image reader for ticket validation. This will be able to reduce validation costs, will determine if the ticket vendor and material matches the order vendor and material to flag incorrect tickets

This would build off of the existing vendor information to include: materials available, pricing, contact, average loading times, operating hours. This would be used during pricing, the information would be compared to the PO's during validation, and the information could be applied to operations

Create a flag or filter for any order that has negative freight or material GP% . This will need to account for any fees such as Excavation (material), fuel surcharge (freight), or dump fees.
